Along with being one of our newest members, Payton was also awarded our scholarship for 2019-2020 league year!  

Payton is on track to get her master’s degree in school counseling, she is currently a junior at Purdue University Fort Wayne  When she’s not studying hard, she enjoys helping out at the Human Services Organization (HSO) on campus and she is a volunteer with Drug Free Noble County.  Professionally, she is passionate about making others feel wanted, understood, and appreciated.  In her personal life, she is passionate about music. She loves to listen, discover, sing, and critique music.  Music is therapeutic for her and she loves that it can be a great, healthy outlet for people of all ages!

Empowering Women through Educational Scholarships

Today’s scholarship recipients are tomorrow’s leaders.  ABWA members have provided opportunities for women to achieve their personal and professional best by championing educational opportunities through the Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund (SBMEF). Since 1953, SBMEF has awarded almost 18 million dollars in scholarships to more than 17,000 women. To learn more about available scholarships, go to sbmef.org.
